Our room was delighful and very clean. The staff were all super friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Lizzie greeted us warmly on arrival and Muli gave us a guided tour and showed us to our room. He is so friendly and has such a lovely positive vibe. The bar staff and restaurant staff were very courteous and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The little touches like the cake at 4pm and the refillable water bottle were warmly welcomed. The final icing on the cake was the kind complimentary picnic coolbag when some of our takeout picnic was apparently missing. We honestly thought what we had been given was already value for money, so when we were advised on our return that the ceasar salad and beetroot dip and rye slices should have been included, we were amazed and delighted to be offered them in the complimentary bag for our onward journey. We very much enjoyed them for dinner at our next destination hotel. We have already started recommending The Gallivant to friends and family and I'm sure we will return again. Thank you. Ir was a wonderful one night's stay.

Loved my stay this time around (2nd trip).. Chose to do a solo trip for a little me time post a stressful few months and a family bereavement and I specifically chose the Gallivant as I wanted somewhere that would be welcoming, comfy luxe but not overly formal. Plus your adjacency to the beach and some fresh air. Also wanted to be able to work remotely in a comfortable environment with options on work space, your cabin space was great. Booked a gorgeous luxe garden room which made me feel relaxed the minute I walked in – all the attention to detail you offer was appreciated. The team were great, particularly the lady on reception always making sure I was good, and checking if I needed anything, but the whole team were great. Enjoyed the menus and your wines are delicious. I wasn’t aware you didn’t serve lunch on Tuesdays but the guy on the bar that morning was super helpful and the kitchen bought me some crackers and beetroot hummus (absolutely yummy) and a cappuccino as a solution before I set off home 😊
Your young service team are enthusiastic and friendly and mostly well informed on all the details of your menus. I will definitely be back this year. Thanks for a great few days – just what I needed.

My Daughter and I had such a lovely time at The Gallivant; the staff are excellent and make you feel at ease immediately. The room was relaxing and comfortable and the food (breakfasts and dinners) was delicious. They seem to have thought of everything – from changing robes to waterproofs and “Oyster Happy Hour” to healthy, yummy breakfasts!
I look forward to returning as soon as I can!

Just loved loved loved our weekend at the Gallivant. The beach huts are designed and kept so well, genuinely the comfiest beds ever, the food is absolutely delicious (including catering so thoughtfully for allergy sufferers) but most of all, its the kind, considerate and very prompt service that blew us over. We'll be back again! Just such a beacon of hospitality, congrats for creating such a happy space for your guests.

Our stay was part of an Ultimate English Wine Experience that my wife bought as my Christmas present. We had a great time at the Gallivant, the only drawback being that it was only for one night.
All food and drinks were excellent with plenty of nice touches.
Staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely recommend.

4th time visiting The Gallivant…never disappoints! Wonderful facilities, delicious food & drink and excellent team. Fantastic,friendly service from all, especially Lindsay,Nikita and Kerry. Brought dog for 1st time and she was treated like a VIP! Thanks for a lovely stay.

A great place to relax and unwind. Roll up early to enjoy drinks and a spot of lunch on the sun drenched courtyard. The beach is only a short stroll across the dunes and the perfect place to watch sunset over the water as day turns to night.

Soak away the day’s activities in the oversized tub in your ultra comfy room, before sitting down to a locally sourced dinner menu that tastes every bit as good as it looks. The atmosphere is very chilled, it’s adults only, but if you let them know in advance your four legged friends can come too.

This was our second visit and we will definitely be back. Just over an hour and a half from SW London it’s great for a mini holiday or just to treat yourself.
