A delightful 3 night stay over the new year. We loved the styling of the bedrooms and public rooms. The dinners and lunches were delicious, well cooked and innovative. Complimentary papers, teas/coffees and wine were a nice touch. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our thanks to them all.
A lovely combination of stylish and relaxed living. It reminded us of happy holidays in ski lodges.
For us we were disheartened to see dogs on the furniture and hear them barking at other dogs in the lounge. Sadly it is the owners not respecting other people. Best wishes for the new year.

We had a wonderful stay just after Christmas for my husband's birthday. From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was so comfy, the food was amazing and the location is ideal. We don't live far away, but it was such a wonderful break we felt a million miles away! Thank you!

We had a fantastic time – rooms and common areas were clean and cozy, very friendly and helpful staff (reception, breakfast, bar and yoga instructor) and we very much enjoyed the food.

Really fabulous stay. After having Covid over Christmas, this really was the trip we needed!
Your staff were so friendly and willing to help. Beautiful interiors. Loved all the thoughtful touches like wine at 5 and elevensies. I used to work for Small Luxury Hotels of the World and have stayed in some incredible hotels around the world, The Gallivant is now up there at the top.
Just one tiny thing – toilet brushes in the rooms would be good!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was magical. I would suggest that we would have liked proper cups in our room as the beakers got very hot when we had our tea. I was very impressed by the housekeeping team who always seemed to know when we were out of the room to tidy up. I would also suggest one bottle of bubble bath or bath salts to enjoy in the tub.

We have had a fab stay over New Year. Everything was perfect. The food was absolutely incredible and delicious, the staff are amazing. The whole stay was relaxing and we felt that nothing was too much trouble when we asked.
Thank you so much and thank you for the lovely sparkling wine you gave us when we left.
We will definitely be back.

We also enjoyed interacting with Paul B about English wines and the pairing with food ,Being French, I love working out the dovetailing of food and wine and your team is doing exactly that .
We love your concept about kooking after your workforce well. They are your strength and are a representation of the ethos of Gallivant. We have a business too in structural engineering and we believe in investing passionately in people .
It is our third visit : we came for New Year 2017, Easter 2018 and we are not disappointed as returned guests . Monty’s smile is most welcoming.
