Warmest thanks to all the team. My husband and I had been planning to come to the Gallivant anyway, but hit on a different plan when a very dear friend of ours, who's near the end of her life with jaw cancer, said she'd love nothing so much as some time by the sea. I spoke on the 'phone to Agnes to see if it would be possible to accommodate our friend's very restricted diet. Some hotels might have baulked at this point, or said 'OK' with little enthusiasm. But after checking with the chef, Agnes came back to say they'd be happy to oblige. In fact, the kitchen team rose to the challenge brilliantly, with all sorts of creative ideas and concoctions which really lifted our friend's spirits and nourished her. The serving staff too were always cheerful, helpful and accommodating – reception staff similarly. I can only name Anna, Gareth, Elton, Jamie and Paul B – and Corey on reception – but I'm aware we owe our thanks to a wider team as well, not least the bedroom staff. All went over and beyond what we might have hoped for: cheerful, diplomatic, flexible and accommodating at every turn. It was a challenge which you all rose to brilliantly.

We are members and love the hotel . We decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay . If this had been the very first time we had been to the hotel we would have fallen in love with it exactly the same as we did 6 years ago when we first visited. The staff are wonderful and are perfectly matched to the calming & caring atmosphere of the place. The food is always seasonal, interesting & delicious.

Thank you for another lovely stay and for upgrading our room. all the Gallivant team were great and our special thanks to Anna & Elton and Crystal and Corey who made our stay special.

We very much enjoyed the food and would suggest that at breakfast a couple of more conventional hot dishes be included.

We look forward to our next stay.

Although I was travelling alone I felt very at ease as all staff were so welcoming.
I would like to thank Cory who suggested I stay another night and sorted it all out for me.
Also, Elton and Anna for their enthusiasm and vibrancy and willingness to socialise.
Sally's yoga on the beach was especially memorable.

Our stay was lovely. The food exceptional, compliments to the chef. I’d come back for meals for sure, breakfast was amazing along with an incredible dinner. Lovely staff, especially Monty. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay – in fact too short. Wonderful atmosphere and great food and drink. In particular would single out Paul for going above and beyond to make sure our dinner, and drinks, were all we hoped they could be… but would also mention Monty for his enthusiasm and friendliness. Just what we needed after a busy few months.

My son and I went to your hotel for 2 nights. We played 2 rounds of golf and did your yoga on the beach plus a couple of beach walks. The location was excellent. The food both breakfast and dinner utterly divine. Your staff are all delightful especially the lovely enthusiastic Italian lady who was there at breakfast. My son wanted to take her home! If I was to suggest something I missed it was a hand shower in the bath. Other than that it was perfect – well done!

We had a fantastic stay! The food and wine was excellent (shout out to Paul who has incredible wine knowledge and has put together a great wine list!) All the staff that served us were great. We loved how dog friendly everything was, location amazing, great that we could check in a little early (only criticism would’ve been than 4pm is quite a late check in time). Otherwise we lovely everything! Can we come back next year?!
