We really enjoyed our stay thank you. The things that stood out were our dining experiences and the friendliness and quality of all of your staff.

Of particular note:
We had the sharing porterhouse steak on Tuesday and turbot on Wednesday. Both were cooked absolutely perfectly and tasted wonderful. A particular shout out to Daniel (sous chef) who brought our fish out to us on Wednesday and described how it had been prepared.
Our waiter on both nights was also fabulous (I don't know his name….he said he'd been working at the Gallivant for 7 days….but you wouldn't have known….he was very efficient and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu etc.).
We also really enjoyed chatting to Ludo who served us our wine on Tuesday and allowed us to taste a few other local wines, e.g. Oxney. My husband is a huge wine enthusiast (WSET Level 3 :)) and it was great to have someone so knowledgeable to offer some thoughts to us.
Anna is so friendly and enthusiastic about the breakfasts – what a great morning person!

Thank-you Gallivant team, we had a lovely stay with you, all of the staff were brilliant but especially Crystal, Lucy, Anna and Corey – made us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to come back, what a wonderful place to stay, relax and enjoy life.

Thank you for hosting our brief stay this week. We found the Gallivant to be a relaxing happy space. The whole team were welcoming and it was refreshing to be able to relaxed and informal from the moment we opened the door.

Actually 4.5 stars but can’t do that!!! Lovely stay with you for our short break. Hotel was great, room (upgraded😀) spacious and very tastefully decorated. You were full of nice touches to make our stay even nicer – for example welcome biscuits in the room, drift off tea time and wine tasting. All really goes into a good experience. Staff attentive and helpful no issues at all. Like the informal set up.

One thing. Food. Breakfast is too elaborate for us. After a great sophisticated dinner we Could have done with simple, traditional hot options for those who like a staple start to the day…no everyone wants haute cuisine all the time.

Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thanks again

We had a lovely stay, our rooms were immaculate and extremely comfortable, the food was delicious and served much more promptly than a lunch I had in October. The yoga was good. Atmosphere and staff were friendly and helpful but not too over bearing. The only thing I can complain about was that I had 17 emails over a one night stay, this is excessive.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Gallivant. We had a truly fantastic stay, and can't wait to return. In no particular order…

The food was exceptional. Food is my absolute passion and a huge part of what makes me happy when I am staying away from home. We both could not have been more impressed. I have a severe gluten allergy but my dishes were no less delicious for it. That is often not the case and I really appreciated not feeling like I was missing out.

The service is absolutely perfect. By perfect I mean genuine, friendly and warm. It is clear that the people who work at the Gallivant, want to do so.

The rooms are just lovely, with everything you need and nothing you don't need! Great hairdryer (very important!), gorgeous bedding, full size products in the bathroom (nothing is more frustrating than a tiny bottle of conditioner when you have long hair!), TV with everything you could want and lastly, a nice warm space to go back to. Faultless.

The little extras are a great touch (bedtime drinks and 5pm wine).

Overall the Gallivant really blew us away and I shall be returning with my partner, hopefully in early April.

Please don't change a thing – you have the perfect hotel!
