The Gallivant is such a special place. The perfect combination of luxury and ease. Fish and chips in the beach with a bottle of fizz was a dream come true!! So special!! Oscar, Johnny, Mosley were all super warm and friendly and lots of fun. As were all the staff but didn’t catch their names. Harry the chef does an outstanding job, his food is scrumptious. Loved the breakfasts and the ease of it all. You are the perfect hosts. Can’t wait to come again. Thank you so much.

We had such a fantastic stay. Our second time at The Gallivant. The first for my birthday and last Sunday for my partners birthday. Very special indeed. Our room was fantastic and we were thrilled to be upgraded. The food was excellent ( we missed the Madeline’s at breakfast as my partner has been dreaming about them since the last time!) but breakfast, lunch and dinner was wonderful. The staff were all fantastic…. Especially Lindsay and the lovely guy who welcomed us who’s name I didn’t know. They were both so fantastic. We look forward to coming again and are dreaming of getting married at the Gallivant ❤️

We stayed at the Gallivant to see the hotel prior to our daughter’s wedding there in July. The hotel is an absolute oasis- the staff are warm, inviting and can’t do enough for their guests. The food was plentiful, creative and delicious. We stayed in a garden room which was beautifully decorated and although small, was very comfortable. No small detail was overlooked. We have complete confidence that our daughter’s wedding day will be an amazing occasion in a truly special venue.

I was lucky enough to spend my 50th birthday with you and, from the lovely cheery welcome to the beautifully appointed and spotless bedroom (with it's gorgeous birthday card and treat) to the fabulous dinner to the continued smiley personal service and everything else…there is nothing which could have been better – you even managed to get the sun to shine for me!

From the moment we arrived at the Gallivant in West Sussex, we knew we were in for something special. nestled in the picturesque countryside, this charming coastal retreat exceeded all expectations and provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the outset.

Every detail was thought of, from the lovely little touches in our room to the personal attention we received throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully decorated, with a serene and calming ambiance that made it the perfect haven to unwind after a day of exploration.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the dining experience. The food at the Gallivant is nothing short of outstanding. With locally sourced ingredients and a menu that beautifully reflects the best of the British cuisine, each meal was a delight for the senses.

The location is also ideal for those looking to enjoy the surroundings of West Sussex. Whether you are looking to explore the nearby beaches, taking scenic walks or simply relaxing in the garden, The Gallivant offers a serene and tranquil setting for anyone looking to unwind and recharge.

Overall, our stay at the Gallivant was truly unforgettable. The combination of exceptional service, stunning surroundings & delicious food. We cannot recommend it enough & we can't wait to return!!

A lovely stay. One night of being made to feel welcome and at home. Such a lovely relaxing place. Totally chilled and looked after by fantastic, friendly staff. Nikita welcomed us and from then on everyone was amazing as well. We loved the room and the food at Harry’s was delicious. We are looking forward to returning.

Wonderful place! Cosy, bright , beautifully decorated with excellent warm team of staff who went above and beyond. The yoga studio was great and offered a very enjoyable morning yoga class. Perfect location right across from the beach and easy driving distance to Rye, a lovely town.
