Only thing was my room- I stayed for two nights- 1st night was great, but 2nd night I had to upgrade to another room which felt like an expensive upgrade as the windows didn’t open, shower leaked all over the floor and the mattress defo needs changing… didnt sleep well at all.

Had a lovely massage at the start of our two-day stay – my wife enjoyed a private yoga session! Access to the beach was convenient. Overall, relaxing and easy to unwind.

Hi Elise

We loved our stay at The Gallivant over the weekend.

A few bits of feedback :
If there was one thing I could change it would be not having to book a specific time slot for breakfast.

My guess is that booking a time slot ensures that the kitchen can keep up with the freshly-cooked options on the menu. Personally, I would have preferred a larger "from the table" selection with no cooked option if it allowed me to arrive at breakfast whenever I wanted.

Charging for a cappuccino at breakfast felt a little unnecessary too. Perhaps you could limit it to a single coffee per guest?

Finally, I found the Tock booking system for The Full Gallivant rather confusing for Special Events. It didn't seem to have any of the Special Events listed in the week leading up to our weekend (11/12 Dec). Not a major thing but this process didn't seem very easy to me.

Otherwise lovely. All staff were excellent, massage brilliant, food & rooms delightful. A fab weekend to ease into Christmas 🙂

Have a very happy Christmas

Tom

Our stay was perfect. As soon as we stepped into this little gem we relaxed. The staff (particularly the lady on reception who welcomed us) were very friendly and helpful. It wasn’t over the top and in your face kind of service, but felt honest and professional. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. The food was excellent, we even made yogurt breakie at home. Plenty of quirky veggie/vegan dishes to choose from. The room was cosy, clean and very pretty. Loved all the pictures scattered around the walls, the board games and recipe card is a nice touch. Played back gammon and found lovely book on the history of swimsuits! The hotel is small so didn’t feel over crowded. It would be nice to see hotel team up with maybe a couple of local producers to add little extras – Wideye products would be lovey to see in the rooms for the shower/body products as they are locally made and, awesome and kind to the environment and Rye Chocolates would be a sweet addition to each room. All in all we had the most FAB stay.
