A Happy Christmas by the sea

WEDNESDAY 23rd to FRIDAY 26th DECEMBER

You are invited to our Christmas House Party by the sea.

We’ve created the perfect festive retreat – imagine crisp December days filled with invigorating walks along our pristine beach followed by cosy evenings of games and conversation beside our roaring log fire.  As twilight falls, craft cocktails await, and intimate dinners in our acclaimed restaurant, Harry’s.

Chef Matthew’s exceptional festive menus celebrate the season, each course thoughtfully paired with fine and rare wines, concluding with moreish digestifs to make every evening truly memorable.

Upon arrival on the 23rd, we’ll welcome you to The Gallivant with freshly baked mince pies, brandy butter and tea in the Sitting Room, before you enjoy an à la carte dinner in Harry’s.

Christmas Eve brings a leisurely Gallivant breakfast, time for long beach walks, and relaxation in our snug. We’ll serve Christmas cake and tea in the afternoon, followed by our special Christmas Eve menu at Harry’s.

For Christmas Day, we’re serving a champagne breakfast to start your celebrations, followed by more champagne and canapés before our three-course Christmas lunch. The afternoon offers Christmas cake, tea, and board games in the Sitting Room. Later, we’ll provide a Christmas supper tray for you to enjoy wherever you wish.

On Boxing Day, join us for a morning yoga class before your final Gallivant breakfast.

We’ve attended to every detail to ensure your Christmas with us will be both relaxing and memorable.

Really fabulous stay. After having Covid over Christmas, this really was the trip we needed!
Your staff were so friendly and willing to help. Beautiful interiors. Loved all the thoughtful touches like wine at 5 and elevensies. I used to work for Small Luxury Hotels of the World and have stayed in some incredible hotels around the world, The Gallivant is now up there at the top.
Just one tiny thing – toilet brushes in the rooms would be good!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was magical. I would suggest that we would have liked proper cups in our room as the beakers got very hot when we had our tea. I was very impressed by the housekeeping team who always seemed to know when we were out of the room to tidy up. I would also suggest one bottle of bubble bath or bath salts to enjoy in the tub.

We also enjoyed interacting with Paul B about English wines and the pairing with food ,Being French, I love working out the dovetailing of food and wine and your team is doing exactly that .
We love your concept about kooking after your workforce well. They are your strength and are a representation of the ethos of Gallivant. We have a business too in structural engineering and we believe in investing passionately in people .
It is our third visit : we came for New Year 2017, Easter 2018 and we are not disappointed as returned guests . Monty’s smile is most welcoming.
We «  borrowed «  tbe deco concept for our office in Guildford.
